This problem started yesterday during cut and paste. Rightclicking the folder name where the paste shall be, takes a few seconds, and FE crashes.
Searched for malware with a couple of programs, deleted some files, scanned the registry (many problems solved), and followed the advice in http://windowsreport.com/fix-file-explorer-problems-windows-10/, only I can't find KB3081449. Don't know what to do next, cannot find similar problem.
Hope you can help me - if only by a work-around! Thank you!

I have EXACTLY the same issue, and also cannot find kb3081449. What does work, for some reason, is if I just open a dos box as administrator, then go to file explorer, I can cut and paste just fine.

Anyone else with this issue?

Boot the computer into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking.
Does the problem persist in Safe mode?
https://www.windows10forums.com/articles/safe-mode.3/

Clean boot the computer.
Does the problem persist under a clean boot?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Create a new user as a member of the local administrators group (not a standard user).
Log off as you and log on as the new user you just created.
Does the problem persist with the new user account
IF so that would suggest that it is global.
IF not then that would suggest that it is unique to your user profile.

I found out that if there are too many file in the folder/directory, this problem comes. So I move files from the folder and its subfolders. At least this is sort of a workaround!
