File Explorer, different results depending on path

FE gives a different folder list and different file content list of a folder depending on the path used.
1. If I start from This PC, then click documents, then click pictures, the folder list will include the folder Dogs
2. If I start from the Quick Access pinned Pictures, the folder list does not include Dogs but does include Bailey

How do I resolve this inconsistency ?

No one has any comment on this inconsistency in File Explorer results? In addition to the different folders, depending on the path followed, the file list under the folders also differs.

I'm no expert; but, Explorer appears to be working correctly. This PC and Quick access are two completely different ways of exploring Files an Libraries. This PC shows your libraries an sub folders. Quick Access shows the most recent files opened that would be "Bailey" that you last accessed in the Pictures folder. If it's consistency you are looking for open Explorer with the shortcut pinned to the task bar.

Thank you, I did not understand that. I do have a shortcut I created on my task bar going thru This PC path but I was concerned that somehow files/folders were detached. Again, thanks.

You should be able to adjust that by simply clicking the View tab at the top of the resultant search and choosing the View of your choice
Your image looks to be a typical "Content" view. Try changing it to details from the view menu.
The view that you set for that folder will be cached and remembered, but will not be the default view, in searching other folders.
You have to change it and then your view selection setting is cached for that folder as well.

yes, I can simple change the view but until the last month it would always show the way I had set all folders and results to show and not default to something less than the simple detail view which I have been using for 15+ years. What I hate about MS is they insist on telling me how to use their product. I should be able to restore whatever it is that the latest MS update did to me. I refuse to believe that one view in file explore is more unsecure than another one - why do they do this? It is the same thing when Win 8 and 10 first came out MS iniisted that the user provide a log in password and it have to be of a strength that MS wanted. This desktop is locked in my home and no one else has accesss to it and I do not want a login password - finally figured out how to dump that.

Anyone know why the search results view has suddenly changed?
