We have been long customers of Allway Sync and now Goodsync bought them out and switched them to subscription base which really sucks. GoodSync also switched to subscription base a few years back.

We are looking for a software that can run as a service (in the background) and copy unstructured data from one machine and replicate it to another machine. A one way sync. Ideally, we do not want to pay more than $100 as we will need to buy it for several machines. Open source is ok as well but needs to be able to run on windows and support long path if needed.

I heard about goodsync going to subscription model, but allwaysync too? I did not realize they got bought out by GS. That sucks.
You have two options, you can use free tool called robocopy but it does not have the service feature. You might be able to use it with task scheduler... I found another alternative solution to goodsync that I used for a couple of cloud migrations, they offer a standard version which can run as a service, GUI based and supports long path. search for Gs RichCopy 360 standard is the version you will need. They offer great support as well and perpetual licenses. Hopefully they do not switch to subscription anytime soon LOL
