How do i resolve a failure to update? Repeated attempts continue to generate the same error message, "Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 - Error 0xc1900223"

Running Windows 10 1909. When manually checking for updates it attempts to update to Windows 20H2 but fails at the end of "Getting things ready". For some reason it also attempts to update Windows Subsystem for Linux Update 4.19.128 and fails…
