How are you updating?
Can you download other updates ok?
Do you use any third party antivirus software? If yes then try disabling it.
updated via the usual: Start > Settings > Update & Security > Check for Updates (or after failure, click on 'Retry')
this procedure has always worked for me before.
yes, did disable Norton > Disable Auto-Protect (antivirus), but update still failed.
Tried Windows 10 Update Assistant from
https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/software-download/windows10 .
Update SUCCESSFUL, but took a verrrrrry long time.
Suspect the builtin update had timed out too soon, and then 'Retry' would start the update from the beginning, with the same result (instead of continuing where previous attempt had left off). On the other hand, Update Assistant ran successfully to completion.
