Explorer.exe causes high cpu usage when hovering mouse over desktop

Hi All,

I've seen many different posts about this, many of them from years ago. But nothing conclusive. Basically explorer.exe behaves itself nicely whenever I'm doing any task. However, when I bring the mouse (touchpad) to the desktop, explorer.exe usage goes up to about 20-25%. Anyone have anything conclusive on this?

Have you seen any recent posts, with reference to Windows 10?

I am not experiencing the problem, but, after reading your post, I googled and could only find isolated cases from a year or two back
