Hi Tom

Welcome to the Forum.

This is an issue that has affected a number of users since May 2017.

For most users the Windows 10 Fall Creator update resolved the issue, but for others the issue has continued.

Some of those others managed to resolve the issue after notifying their ISP who found a bug in their system that needed addressing.

For other users resetting Microsoft Edge resolve the issues. When you reset Edge, your favorites are safe, but you'll be greeted by the Start page that you may recall seeing the first time you used edge. Closing this, then re-opening Edge gets you back to your usual state.

I've attached a zipped folder that contains a PowerShell script which have been compiled into an executable for resetting Edge browser should you wish to see whether that resolves things for you.
  • Download ResetEdge.zip and right-click on this download and select Extract all
  • Close all instances of Edge that are open
  • Right-click on ResetEdge.exe and select Run as administrator
    • You'll see an elevated command console open, then briefly some text as the script runs.
    • When it stops after about 10 seconds, close the console and open Edge

Regards,
