Epson xp 830 all in one printer

I have tried and tried to get it to go to one sided scan and print / I hate it, can’t understand what Is the problem?

Try MIcrosoft's fax and scan which installed with Windows 10. I think that there is a dialog in there to use one sided scan.

Are you using Epson software to print? Word certainly lets you default to one sided printing.

Indeed, most printer installs use single-sided printing as their default with Properties or Options having a setting for double-sided. Printers with ADF/Automatic Document Feeding can do it but without that ADF does the "print one side then turn over to do the other".

Start, W section, Windows Accessories, Window Fax and Scan can use any scanner the proper drivers are installed for. Sometimes a generic TWAIN driver will work.
