Hey, usually when I see something like this there is two video outputs. The driver is selecting the unused output. Try to connect a TV or monitor to the second video output and in display setting make the usual monitor your 'Primary' monitor
The reason you see entering power save mode is because the video driver is directing the output to a secondary display, thinking it is the primary even though it doesn't even exist.

depends on what port the second output is, it could be as simple as switching the monitor that you have to the other port, you may need an adapter, you may not.
ot you may have to connect a TV, you may just have to have a look at the back of the computer and see.
if it has two identical poets just switch them and you're set

Well, it is an HDMI connection, and there is only one on the back. I pulled it out and reconnected it. Suddenly I had a computer screen again. Thanks so much shakeyplace ! :)
