I have a Surface Pro 4 and have been using Edge consistently though have been increasingly gravitating to Firefox in the last month or so. There are 2 reasons for that:

A) I am very frequently encountering situations wherein if I click on a news story (for example from the MSN news page), Edge takes me to that story promptly but it does not matter how many times I click on the back button to go back to the original page, IT WILL NOT GO BACK!!!! The page is not frozen, I can move up or down in it, but I just cannot go back. Instead, what I have to do is close the Edge browser and then turn it back on.

B) This problem seems to have started about a month ago when out of the blue the very look of Edge changed: it was a page that refreshed constantly as I would read news and articles moving my scroll bar down, but all of a sudden, Edge to the look and feel of the old Windows 7: a limited number of news stories under well defined categories that do not refresh. I checked that I am indeed using Edge and find no setting which would allow me to get back to the original Edge look and feel.

Has anyone encountered these issues and come up with a fix? Thank you very much for helping.

Edge is lacking in may areas compared to the more popular browsers, IE is also falling from the preferred browser list more than MS are willing to divulge. They are keeping the popularity numbers of IE elevated by including IE popularity with Edge. Toyota does exactly the same by including their customer sales with fleet rentals in an attempt to keep the crown for most sales per calendar year. Since upgrading to Win 10 I've switched to Fire Fox. Hopefully MS is listening and will refine Edge in the final release this July.
Edge is OK but I compare it the driving a boring car with minimum accessories.

IMHO. I suggest the whole object of designing Edge, was to introduce a "minimum feature" browser, for more speed and efficiency. This, in contrast to IE, which tends to the opposite.
If Add ons and extras are applied, it will become no better than some of the heavyweight in the field.
However, if you would like to contribute to suggestions for improving it, go here:

At least then it would be the users choice to apply the heavyweight or not. If it were their choice, I'm sure they will be happy with it. Like Windows 10 I'm less pleased with it in general because I have lost some choices along the way. That would be less choices with greater bloat that many never use.

Not as certain of that as yourself. On the forums ( where moans and complaints end up) I think it would probably take more than that top get them happy. But if they want the bloated alternative, why not use IE and take out what they do not want?

That's the part where I'm certain it doesn't work that way. Or else Edge would have been really simple to rewrite. I'm not even going to bring up OS features that can't be removed.
