Edge browser windows 10 1709 freezes wont scroll

Lately my Edge browsers has started hanging up at times and wont scroll. I'll get part way down the page and it wont scroll any further. I've hit the refresh button several times and it still wont scroll. I'll have to leave the page and return to read the rest of the page. I tried repairing the browser but it still does it. I could use some advice what to do. I've read you cant reset the browser but might lose lots of. bookmarks. It gets annoying having to keep doing it.

Have you tried clearing your browsing data?
Open Edge browser, click on "More Settings (... top right)
At the bottom click on "Settings" > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear, select all and click "Clear" Hopefully this will resolve pages from hanging.

Yes,,that was the first thing I did and it didnt help any.

Go back to an old 'Restore Point."

If that doesn't work, Roll back your Windows 10 version!

If the above fails, reinstall a clean version of Windows 10.

I've found that Edge is apart of Windows 10 OS so it's a bitch to fix! Re-installing Windows 10 again, is a less headache I have found!

If you're using Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, then you can reset Edge browser. Here is how you can do that:

Launch the Settings app by pressing Win + I keys
Click on Apps -> Apps & Features
On the right pane, scroll down until you find Microsoft Edge app. Now click on it.
Here you need to click on Advanced options link.
Here in the Microsoft Edge Advanced options window click on the Reset button

Exit Edge browser
Reboot your machine

This will fix the issue
