can you advise for the best free method how to eliminate duplicated files

You could try any of the three utilities here: https://www.hardcoded.net/dupeguru/

• Caveat: you need to be running a 64-bit machine to get the latest version which was released for Windows 8 but ought to work fine in Windows 10. If you system is 32-bit then you could try the older XP version for 32-bit OS.

Alternatively you may have cCleaner installed on your computer all ready. Most use it to clean their OS and Registry of orphaned keys. It has a built in duplicate file finder on it that works reasonably well too.

Simply open cCleaner, then click on Tools > Duplicate File Finder
