Since the system was upgraded to Windows 10, the scanner function of the printer does not work. The printer itself is ok

The printer driver was upgraded through the manufacturer site at http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/en/home?m=home after upgrade.

The icon installed during the update of the driver (called Canon MF tool box 4.9) does not recognize the printer.

Any suggestion to fix this issue?

Have you checked on the MS Store? I see there is an app there for some Canon multifunction devices.

Have you run the trouble shooter from their site
Or run trouble shooter from windows 10
Also unusual that printer works and not scanner on an all in one

MIght be a good idea to check device manager and see if there are any issues noted as might possibly be indicated by problem icons.
Also check and see if you have anything listed under "Imaging devices" that might indicate whether or not Windows 10 sees your AiO as a scanner.

IF it is there, try using Windows' native fax and scan utility to see if you can produce a scan.
Start Button, all apps, windows accessories, windows fax and scan.
It is not too unusual for some manufacturer's printer utilities to not work with Windows 10. I had a heck of a time getting my HP Solution Center and HP Toolbox to work with Windows 10.
They finally updated the software, so it works now.

The link provide seems to show one driver file for Fax/scan. This download is different from the toolbox download so did you install that driver first?

You may have a separate utility on your system to access the Scan abilities. But the Multi-function printers can be a pain to get all the parts to work.

Are you running a wireless connection or USB. For Initial setup a USB connection would probably work best.
