Downloading pictures from sony camera to windows 10

How do I put my pictures from Sony camera to Windows 10? It was so easy with Windows 8 as the camera sign came up on my
File Explorer and I just copied them to My Pictures! So my pictures are now stuck on my camera!!!!!

So what happens now, when you plug your camera into your Windows 10 computer.
I assume you are using a USB cable connection and not some other NFC resolution?

We get a 'ping' sound but no indication that camera is new device on computer.
Are using cable supplied by Sony with camera as connection.

Reboot your computer, with the camera plugged in and on.
Then check device manager and see if there are any problem / other devices reported

And when you open File Explorer you do not see any new (other) drives?
How about in disk management, does that show an additional disk?
