Display Settings stuck on "Show Only on 2"

I'm having trouble with a Windows 10 VM running on Amazon Workspace. I have two monitors set up: a laptop screen and an external display. The display setting is currently stuck on "Show only on 2" in System > Display.

I want to change it to "Extend these displays," but whenever I try to select a different option from the dropdown menu, it instantly reverts back to "Show only on 2" after confirming the changes.

This issue started when I got the laptop. The previous user had the same laptop and setup, and it worked fine for them. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?
