I have been having some problems with my Windows 10 system which was upgraded from Windows 7. I ran Belarc Advisor, today, to see the profile of my installed software and it shows my Operating System as Windows 8.1 (see below) but when I check my System via the Control Panel on my computer, I get this info, (also see below). I am confused as to why it shows 2 different Operating systems? And should I do something about fixing the discrepancy?

open the runbox and type winver then anter and see what you get let me know

Did you grab a new Belarc or use what you had. There were many 3rd party programs that mis-identified Win10 as Win8.1 during the preview

Hey Joetech1, I downloaded Belarc from MajorGeeks but you got me thinking that maybe I needed a new download so I uninstalled it and I went to my one of my other go-to site filehippo and downloaded Belarc from there and lo and behold it now says I am running Windows 10. So at least my information is now in sync.
