SOLVED Disable Cortana

How can I kill Cortana? I don't like it and don't want it. I just want it gone or at least stop popping up or hijacking my taskbar.

or you can hide the cortana icon from the taskbar by rightclicking on the taskbar then go to cortana and click on [hidden]

Thanks, that worked., the thing is gone. I tried "settings" but found no help there.
