From another tread "General Discussion"
Wolfie "Hi Norton, start a new thread and we can investigate, it may be that there are legacy drivers available which are often hidden on support sites?

"Wolfie Thanks! I can do that. I was concerned when we were hit with the Malwarebytes update.
My PC was working fine on Saturday, I left it for an hour and when I cam back to it my desktop graphics were all screwed up, icons overlaid, desktop background pic missing... then I got a message.
"Display driver failed to start, using Microsoft basic display driver instead. Check Windows update for a newer driver. I believe I just visited the wrong Dell support site. I'll post my findings in a new thread."

Dell Support. I have 2 old Dell Optiplex 760 Mini form factor machines. and recently thought I had a diver issue. I visited Dell Support but apparently was directed to their support site with very little content for Windows 10. Win 7 XP, Vista, Windows 8 Yes! I continued searching Dell Support and came across the Dell Support Assist site.

I ran the PC Launcher, It found my service tag number and ran a thorough scan, hardware, drivers, spindle speeds... Other than a bios update, the machine passed with flying colors. BTW the machine is 8 years past warranty, it's nice to know there is still good support from Dell.

I'm running Insider Preview on a Dell OptiPlex 755, only problem was back with Version 1511 and the onboard video adapter, put in an ATI Radeon HD 2400 card and no problem since. Had to do the same with a Dell Inspiron 530S for the same reason, no drivers available.

I found this Dell useful product support link. All my drivers are current. I ran the tests and my PC is in top shape for an oldie. It's a work horse, cost me $125, a business machine refurbished by Dell came with Windows 7 Pro. factory installed, I bought 2 one for me and one for the Grandkid's I now have both of the 760's as the kids were into gaming and moved ON. I've never had a problem with either machine even after the Windows 10 upgrade. (Just the usual minor Win 10 update glitches)

HI Norton,

cross reference the drivers (Treiber) from the German Dell support site, you might have a bit of luck?. Apart from that, if you cannot find any differences, you may have to rely on MS for further support?.

Did you look at the operating system (Betriebssystem) requirements and make sure that it is for Windows 7 - 64 bit for example?. :D

Is it the all in one model?:

Wolfie It was Win 7 Pro 64 bit, migrated to Windows 10 Pro last year. The support link you provided has no link to Windows 10, that's the problem. My model is similar to the all in one, but lacks Wifi and has an Intel Graphics Q43/Q45 Express chipset (Microsoft WDDM1.1) I belive that the drivers are still available, but not listed on the Dell Assist site.

HI Norton,

yep!, I couldn't see any for W10 either so you will have to rely on MS to push out support, the problem there is that they won't spend time developing software (drivers) for older mobo's!. :(
