cortona message critical error start menu

We are getting a message when we open our laptop.

cortona message critical error start menu and cortana are not working. We will try to fix it the next time you sign in

Two screen shots are attached.

We had Windows 8 then we updated to Windows 10.

Please help. Thanks.
