Cortana

i still cant get this damned Cortana thing to work. It's disabled by company policy so it says and i dont own a company anyway.
Mine is a home computer and now has the latest NOV upgrade. If any 1 has any ideas of how to get CORTANA working please relieve me of my misery.

i dont believe that no 1 has an answer to my problem. Come on guys, surely some 1 has a cure foe Cortana' stubborness.

Are you running 10240 or 10686?
Are you signed on with a Microsoft account or a personal account?
What happens when you click on the icon down in the lower left?
If you click on All Apps and go to C do you see Cortana there and what happens if you click on it.

Are you in a Locale that does not support Cortana .

Hi Tim Many tks for answering. I am logged in with msn account as usual and i do see cortana listed but it is greyed out and unclickable. It says and i quote, cortana is disabled by company policy, and it is all greyed out so 1 cannot click on it anyway. Btw, it is supported in the UK.

Hi Gideon, tks for answering me. the search bar works fine when needed, it's just the cortana button is greyed out and unclickable. It's beginning to drive me bananas trying to fix it. I know eventually i will just forget it and say sod it.
