Copying the contents of Folder View

Hi,
I have a folder containing many music tracks.
Is there a way to copy the listing under folder view, into Word, Excel or similar ?
Would save a ton of typing.

When I want to do that I open a Command Prompt and change to the folder involved and type dir /s/o to get a full listing, it'll be long. If it's what I want I press the Up arrow to get the last command and add >dir.txt to it and run, gives a text file in the same folder which can then be opened in Notepad or a word processor.
D:\Music\dir /s/o>dir.txt
If wanting to verify the file at that prompt put in: type dir.txt.
