Connect PC to TV via HDMI

I'd like to connect my hard drive to my TV via the HDMI port. I tried a search at bottom left tool bar and it says "no results found". How do I connect via this port? Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?

Connecting a TV to a PC is basically the same as connecting an external monitor. You can duplicate the screen or extend the screen or you can use the TV as your monitor. Without knowing your hardware its going to be difficult to give precise advice.
