After running both CCleaner and Disk Cleanup (including system files), I still had a 6GB folder called "$Windows.~WS" in C:\. If you find you need more space, check to see if this folder is still taking up space. I manually deleted mine.

They are both temporary directories used by windows to update your system.

It is safe to delete both to reclaim valuable space.

Microsoft has not updated the disk cleanup tool to delete $Windows.~WS yet (but you can delete it manually).

For those unfamiliar.

Just a word of warning. Cleaning the system files, immediately after the upgrade, will disable you opportunity to uninstall the upgrade, should there be anything wrong, or something with which you are not satisfied.
