Classic Shell Start Button

Available free online, the Classic Shell Start Button corrected Windows 8's most glaring fault by giving you an excellent free Start Button. One of my Windows 10 laptops still has it.

You can still press the Windows key (bottom left corner, between the Ctrl and Alt keys) to get the Windows 10 Start Button.

Classic Shell works well with Windows 10 and is a possible last resort if you can't get the Windows 10 Start Button to work.

If it were not for Classic Shell, I would still be on Windows 7.

Same here. Without Classic Shell, I'd still be on Windows 7.

Well said, Gideon and Clifford. Microsoft´s decision to eliminate the Start Button from Windows 8 is about the second-stupidest business decision ever made. The stupidest is their refusal to restore it.

I liked Windows 7 but liked 8 even better--after I added the Classic Shell Start Button.
