Please help an elderly gent ....

I am trying to change boot order to make a desktop boot from CD or USB
Have managed to get into BIOS and changed boot order acc. to enclosed dump.
But the machine ignores my changes and boots into Win 10.
What´s wrong with my setting????

Any support in this will be highly appreciated

Michael

Did you do F10 and save changes before exit? Presume you did. I guess that Windows boot manager is the C: drive.
I don't recognize that Bios but I wonder if it should be USB/Harddrive to boot from USB.

Yes C:\ is the Win 10
The pic shows what it looks like when I enter into BIOS today without doing any changes.
I have tried to boot from a emergency disk for a back up program, but fails.
The same if I use emergency USB for the same program..

Will have to look into your advice. But being a "no pro" on this, I feel a bit shaky and afraid I will make a mess. :(

Hi MichaelE

You must put « USB Hard Drive » in the first position, then you validate, and press « F10 » followed by « Save and Exit ». And you restart your computer with your USB device plugged in.

Have a Nice Day
