Cant view desktop

So whenever I close all my tabs I have the windows 10 start menu with all the tiles show up, but I want to see my desktop. It switches between them like every week and I have it set to not show in personalization. Can someone tell me what to do?

Hello, welcome to the forum. You are saying that when you close or minimize your browser that you see the start menu but you should not and I agree it should never show the start. I get that but where in Personalization do you see an option to not show the start? I can not find that.

 

[Trouble]

Sometimes this happens, when someone has toggled on "Tablet Mode".
Have a look at the Notification Icon, bottom right, near the clock and see if you can toggle it on and off.
