The laptop is an HP Notebook - 15-ac153ca. The current Windows version is 1909, and while other updates have been successfully installed, the 22H2 update fails to install.
I'm trying to update a friend's laptop and have tried various solutions found online. I've also tried to reinstall/update Windows, but it fails and reverts back to the previous state. After the Windows 10 installation fails, I receive the following message:
"We couldn't Install Windows 10. We've set your PC back to the way it was before you started installing Windows 10. OxC1900-101 - 0x30018. The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operation."
I believe that this laptop was originally updated from Windows 8 to Windows 10.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
