Can't install Google Earth: error 1603

When installing Google Earth , I get the message "error 1603". I tried many times to (completly) uninstall then reinstall GE, with the same result.

Which version? I am running a two year old Google Earth Pro 7.0.3.8542 succesfully

I don't know exactly which version of Google Earth (not pro) I'm using, but probably the latest, as I have downloaded the GoogleEarthSetup very recently.
Plus this problem occurs only on 1 my 2 computers . Both are running W10

I am running a real old version of google earth (6.0.3.3197) and it works good never cared for the newer version of google earth to much extra crapola that I just don't need and won't use.
uncertain if you can even download older version of google earth anymore.
I do know that some integrated video cards will not run the newer version.

I too had errors trying to install the latest Google Earth. I was able to download and install a previous version:
Google Earth - 7.0.3.8542
