Posting this to help my mom troubleshoot, so I'm possibly missing some details.
She had been using an old iPhone 4S to take pictures for her shop and I recently gave her my old 6S to take slightly better pictures with. When she connected the newer phone to her laptop she got the error, "Photos can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported or the file is corrupt".
Afaik she gave up on the new phone at this point and tried connecting her old 4S but it seems connecting the new phone messed things up. Now even with the 4S she can see the pictures in the folder for the phone on the computer, but they take 30-40 seconds to open and she can no longer save them on her computer and I believe is getting the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can try to get more details if needed.
