I have shared my C: Drives on two of my PCs in the home network, but can't access then even though I can see them. Tried the change the permissions to "everyone" but Windows just complains. How do I get access to them as I am constantly moving files between. The Windows updates have just locked these drive down.

I know this doesn't answer your question but you're better off not putting user data on the system drive, move it to a separate drive and share that instead.

ubuysa is correct. Sharing the entire C: drive with everyone is a security accident waiting to happen as you also share system files that anyone then can have access to. Windows is only protecting itself.
Better is not to share the whole drive but your user files instead (c:\users\[your name here] )
