My machine originally ran Windows 10 Pro. I had memory issues, so I wiped the machine and installed Windows 10 Home, which seemed to resolve the problem.
However, the issue persisted, leading me to replace the motherboard entirely. Now, I'm facing an activation error for Windows 10, stating that the version doesn't match, despite everything else remaining the same.
If I reinstall the correct version of Windows 10, will it allow me to reactivate it? Will this process require a reset of all settings?
Is there a way to set a restore point even if it's from a different version of Windows 10?
Thank you in advance for your help!
