Since I have installed Windows 10 I can no longer print with my Canon Pixma MP495. I have gone to Canon Support and installed the correct MP drivers to ensure this would be rectified. It gave me the right link to run the program but as soon as I run it and see the full installation bar completed nothing happens! It appears that I should be able to run my current printer with Windows 10....so why an I having no luck?

Sometimes these things can be a real pain.
It is often best before attempting the installation of the driver / software package to......
Disconnect the printer from the computer.
Remove the printer from devices and printers, make sure it is gone from Device Manager as well (if prompted, choose to uninstall drivers too).
Then uninstall any previously installed software associated with the prior instance of the printer using the programs and features applet in the control panel.
Reboot the computer.
Run the program installation and when prompted (usually at some point during the install) reconnect the printer to the computer.

I agree. With HP printers even uninstall the 'shop HP supplies' app! For Canon I'd temporarily uninstall any apps for Canon Cameras as well.
