Brightness indicator stuck on my screen

Does anyone know how to remove the brightness indicator that is stuck on my screen. I have a new surface laptop with Microsoft 10 that just started doing this?
Suggestions?

Hi Sharon,

are there brightness buttons on the laptop controlled by the FN key and are they/is it stuck down?, try pressing the keys to make sure they are not stuck or in a locked position.

I have the same concern... Keys are doing just fine.. but the brightness indicator won't go away..
