Bluetooth Earphones Not Connecting to Hands-Free Audio, Only Stereo

My Bluetooth earphones are only showing as "Connected music" instead of "Connected voice, music." I can no longer use the hands-free option for calls, only the stereo mode is available. this issue started after a recent update.
In the sound settings (right-click the sound icon > Sounds > Playback), I found the hands-free device. It is enabled but disconnected. Attempting to connect it did not work; only the stereo remains connected.

I'm using Windows 10 with OnePlus Nord Buds 2. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
