When I use my computer (especially for emails) the background colour is a very bright yellow which is damaging to the eyes.
Is there anyway to change this colour or reduce it?

Settings-> personalization-> background -> background then select solid colour and choose a colour.
You can select all kinds of colours and accents and pictures in the personalization section of settings.
