Apps not responding or not opening in Windows 10

All started fine on Saturday but by this morning Outlook 2010 wouldn't open, Word 2010 no response, Nitro Pro v10 no response - impossible trying to work so I went back to Windows 8.1!

Any ideas on resolving this?

I also found, oddly, that my wifi which won't turn on in Windows 8.1 actually worked fine in Windows 10!

I would have suggested doing a system restore and pick 2 or 3 days ago as your restore point.
But you have already gone back to 8.1, so my answer is moot.
