With all the news about Apple resisting the Justice Department over the San Bernadino terrrorist's iPhone, and now with the likes of Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter backing Apple. I found this pretty interesting....

Kinda nice to be doing business in a country where you can make a legal stand on principles, you don't have in other countries.

Precisely this is not China. Apple can not be convicted in the US based on China law. Bringing up China's legal stance* is irrelevant to the conditions in the US.

*Trouble I'm not pointing a finger at you, it was something I read in the article.
"I can't imagine the Chinese would tolerate end-to-end encryption or a refusal to cooperate with their police, particularly in a terrorism case."

Kind of what I was getting at.
They can take the moral high ground and claim that they are defending their customer's right to privacy and anything they do might put everyone's data at risk....
but
That doesn't seem to keep them from doing business in countries where the oppression of casual disent is the normal day to day thing and providing a means of doing it doesn't seem to be a problem for them.

The next most dangerous group after ISIS is located in Washington D.C. They must be constantly reminded that they are surrounded and outgunned by the electorate.
