Adjusting webcam recording resolution

I’m working on a project that requires using multiple webcams to record continuously for about 12 hours. I don’t need high resolution—around 480p or 240p would be sufficient, rather than the typical 1080p.

Is it possible to adjust the recording resolution settings on the HP 430 FHD webcam? I need to know before purchasing several of these cameras.

The resolution in the camera cannot be changed as it depends on the chip in it. The resolution can only be changed on the recording device.
