2 days ago i downloaded a new game Playerunknow's battleground and noticed i was lagging really bad. I opened my task manager and my disk usage was at 100%. I closed everything and noticed my pc was doing things slow. My disk usage stays at 100% now and I do not know what to do. I ran some test and disabled some services that an article online suggested that helped others but does not seem to work for me. I was wondering if it is a good idea to uninstall all my drivers and download new ones. Please help me i really dont know what to do

I have included any screenshots that may be helpful
This is my task manager at the moment. It changes a lot sometimes. system is consuming more then windows search, sometimes norton, sometimes Microsoft compatibility telemetry.

Hi antmann,

Taking a look at your task image it seems its your Zip Console consuming a large resource from CPU.

Do you really need that third party application? Windows has its own compressed file management built into the OS.

Also, if you are using a SSD with the game running from that then it would be worth checking out this known bug issue Microsoft posted about with a solution some time ago now:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...h-message-signaled-interrupt-msi-mode-enabled

This may or may not be relevant in your case; but worth reading just in case your computer's specs align to the article.

This usually changes now it is not the 7-zip file it is now my system doing most of the consumption.

I would suggest you open the resource monitor to check the usage. When you see something using resources, put a check mark in the box so it will filter for that process in the lower panels.

The utility will also show you what is being done.
