Starting with the Windows 10 1903 update, it's possible to switch to a light colour theme for your desktop. This means that instead of having a dark taskbar, start menu, etc... they'll appear as a much lighter colour. Depending on your choice of background, this may be more appealing. Here's an example of how the default vs light colour theme may look:
To make this change, right click an empty space on the desktop and select Personalise:
The settings panel will open to the personalisation section. From here, select Themes on the left menu:
Now, scroll down and click on the Windows (light) theme option. You'll notice with a few seconds that your colour scheme will update to the new lighter look:
