Most laptops and tablets (and increasingly desktop PCs) will come with Bluetooth hardware installed. If you have no paired devices or you have security concerns, you may wish to disable the Bluetooth functionality. It'll save a little bit of power and remove an unnecessary icon from your system tray.
To begin, click the start button and select Settings:
Now click Devices:
Now select Bluetooth & Other Devices from the left menu (it should be selected by default) and toggle the Bluetooth on/off switch:
